Within the Microsoft Information Technology (Microsoft IT) department, the Enterprise Application Services (EAS)-Electronic Business Integration Services (e*BIS) group provides solutions to support the various document translation services that are used in business-to-business messaging at Microsoft. Because of new administration and management features that are available in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, its support for 64-bit computing, and its strong support for flat file locations, the group determined that it could consolidate its four disparate BizTalk Server implementations into a single stable environment running BizTalk Server 2006.
